Arch Gallery (Shanghai) is pleased to present the solo exhibition of artist Xue Ying, titled "The world managed to teach us how to sing our song". Xue Ying consistently gazes toward the truths of life. In her latest project "The World Taught Us How to Sing," reality once again becomes the source of creative power. This conviction also shapes her approach to acquiring knowledge and inspiration—it must be sought from within the world itself, just as when the world teaches us how to sing, we are inevitably situated within it, amidst its sunlight and routines, shadows and peculiarities.

The solo exhibition of the artist Danqing Xu has recently opened at the ARCH GALLERY. This is the artist's first solo exhibition after becoming a mother, exploring the profound connection between personal experiences, life growth, and artistic creation from a new perspective. The title of the exhibition, "May It Shine," is inspired by the babbling of the artist's young daughter when she tried to pronounce the word "moon." The moon, an age-old symbol of poetry, love, and wishes, is endowed with an intimate and profound emotional meaning in this exhibition. In her daughter's indistinct syllables, the artist has captured the child's first call to the world and also found a unique expression of her new identity as a mother.

In the height of midsummer 2024, Arch Gallery was delighted to announce the solo exhibition "Glittering Signals" by artist Qi Le, which ran from June 7 to July 28, 2024. On a long night when there was no choice but to venture deeper into the forest instead of returning home, we became the shadows awakened by the sun. Letting fleeting thoughts occupy the body together, as countless consciousnesses surged in, we let them surge. In the boundless Milky Way, a moth dreamed, and fireflies fluttered.

Wooton Gallery is honored to present Ge Yajing's first solo exhibition "POWER", showcasing the artist's latest works created between 2019 and 2020.
Contemporary political societies are built upon the hidden and "sacred" foundation of the realm of exception—a privileged space detached from the mundane world, where supreme power dictates everything while remaining unbound by the very rules it imposes. This dual nature of power has been particularly starkly revealed in the pandemic and post-pandemic eras. When the oppressive and negating aspects of power appear to yield to the public, its productive and affirmative aspects "inspire" the masses. In Ge Yajing's works, this duality is metaphorized through the "fist" motif in her paintings. "It is said that the difference between a thumb pointing outward or inward is like a dog baring its teeth or wagging its tail at you." Through this unique artistic language, she explores the sense of powerlessness people feel in the face of life's fragility amid today's unsettling environment.

Meanwhile, Wutong Space has transformed the exhibition hall into a dance hall and will host two parties.
Hello everyone and welcome to Storm Valley.
Before entering the exhibition hall, you will see a rather striking installation work come towards one. This is a creation by artist Xiong Jiaxiang, who uses a sailboat to symbolize humanity's courage to explore the unknown world. The reason this piece is placed at the forefront is to deliver a strong emotional impact to viewers, setting it apart from other artworks. It also serves as a visual symbol for the entire exhibition, connected to the exhibition's overall visual identity.
As you officially step into the exhibition hall, following the orientation of the sailboat, you will encounter an "ocean." Interestingly, the position of this ocean on the map corresponds to the land where we currently live. The inversion of ocean and land in the map is a work by Ye Su (Zhang Fan) from 2015. This piece resonates strongly with major events in recent years—such as the Australian wildfires, the COVID-19 pandemic, and numerous real-life crises—which may make us wonder if life on Earth is approaching extinction. The work carries a profound sense of crisis.
