Arch Gallery is pleased to announce that artist June Fischer will participate in the exhibition "Break Down Play List," hosted by the Inside Out Art Museum. The exhibition officially opened on October 12, 2025. It is curated by Lu Yinghua, the director of the Inside Out Art Museum, with Clara Chavan, a Swiss art historian, and Na Rongkun, an assistant curator of the Inside Out Art Museum, as co - curators. The exhibition brings together more than 20 works from 16 artists of China and Switzerland, covering diverse media such as video, installation, sculpture, and mixed - media.
This exhibition is a key cultural project of the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Switzerland and the China - Switzerland Year of Culture and Tourism in 2025. It originates from the "CH><CN Studio" residency program of the Swiss Embassy in China. June Fischer, as one of the nine Swiss artists supported by the program, has conducted local creation in a Chinese city (Dehua, Fujian). Her works deeply integrate observations of Chinese local culture and cross - cultural thinking.
"Break Down Play List" constructs its core theme with a double imagery: "Play List" symbolizes the selective presentation of identity fragments in communication, while "Break Down" refers to the "hesitation and dislocation" in cross - cultural dialogue. The exhibition rejects a singular "universal narrative" and instead, through the local practice and creative collision of artists, exposes the cultural cognition gap. It explores genuine connections in "unsmooth" communication, echoing the deep - seated value of Sino - Swiss artistic dialogue.
